Baby Huey - "One Quack Mind"

I'm really looking forward to the upcoming Harvey Comics Classics book featuring Baby Huey so I thought I'd share another short. There's a really fun walk cycle in the beginning of this one. Robert Little painted the backgrounds on this short. Check out the Famous Studios label for more backgrounds from other Famous artists.

There's some nasty animation in this one. It looks like a lot of inking and inbetweening problems (which were regular at Famous) were at an all-time high in this cartoon. A potboiler for Famous art-wise, but there's some funny stuff, the morbid ending especially.

Definatly can tell this was early days in the Baby Huey series. The fox's design changes a few times, resembling Wolfie from the Blackie Lamb shorts.

Talking of which, I don't suppose you've got Wolfie's only solo short, "The Old Shell Game", lying around? Been dying to try and watch that :)

Hey Chris, unfortunately I don't have a copy of "the old shell game". I remember watching it one someone's blog. Thad's maybe?
