Looks like even Harvey Eisenberg (I think) borrowed from Preston Blair's book for a panel in Tom & Jerry #165.

J. J. Hunsecker said...: Didn't Blair take some of those poses for his book from the character layout poses for the MGM cartoons he worked on? I think those poses where also used in the model sheets. If so, then Blair used a lot of drawings by Claude Smith. (For example, the fat kid diving into a pool in Blair's animation book is from the model sheet of the pilgrim from "Jerky Turkey".); 8/12/2008 8:29 PM
