Tex Avery - "Bad Luck Blackie"

It's been a while since I posted anything from Tex Avery so here's "Bad Luck Blackie" and some model sheets to go along with it. So many great gags in this one. And who doesn't love the dog's laugh? Enjoy.

Oh, that laugh! Didn't Tex Avery himself do that laugh for the bulldog? I can tell they used Bill Hanna's Tom & Jerry screams & yelps for some scenes.

Another great Avery classic! Thanks, Kevin!

I love the cat model sheet Kevin. I haven't been here in a while, so it's good to see you're still posting great stuff!

One of my favorite cartoons ever.

Yes that was Tex's distinctive hearty laugh he would give to his brutish and rotund characters. I think the weasy snicker was done by Don Messick.

Hi! Not much updates lately. :(
Could you upload Hugh Harman's Lonesome Stranger cartoon? I owned that on a video tape, but lost it some time ago. Thanks.

I'm not too sure if I have "Lonesome Stranger". I know I have some Harman/Ising shorts but I don't know if that's one of them.

As for updates, I've kind of been running out of animation art to post along with cartoons so I haven't posted as often. I think maybe this blog is running out of steam.

Oh, that's too bad. :(((
I love your blog.

Btw. do you own "The Blue Danube"? That was also on that video tape I mentioned.

I'm pretty sure I have it somewhere. I'll check through my poorly organized discs for it.

Thanks Kevin! And sorry for the offtopic.

Bad Luck Blackie rocks (possibly the second best Avery cartoon after King Size Canary).

That was sweet! I've never heard of BLB until now, as it was aired much before my time. I love black cats, seeing this animation was great!! I wish classics like these were aired on TV more, instead of infomercials and the like.
