A G-G-G-Ghost ?!?

Here's a great take from the 1952 Casper short "Spunky Skunky". Yes, that's right I said Casper. What can I say, my boys love Casper so we watch the cartoons quite often. And I'm a sucker for most Famous cartoons. Even when it's the same story over and over.

Personally I find Casper to be the Golden Age cartoon equivalent of the AIDs virus, but man, at least we've got some funny takes in some of them. Better your kids watch this than whatever the hell my nieces, nephews, and cousins are watching when they're at my parents' house.

Damn straight don't hurt Skunky! That would have been upsetting.

Your blog is ace.

Only a great character like Wolfie would make Casper BARELY tolerable.

Haha, you're right on the money there. I couldn't stomach him if it weren't for Winston Sharples scores and the great backgrounds, in this case by Robert Little. And my little guys love Casper and Little Audrey, Lulu but like their old man nothing cracks them up like Tex Avery cartoons.

I don't know who animated this scene, but I think this was Marty Taras. do you happen to know?

Definitely not Marty Taras. He only worked in the Dave Tendlar unit. This was a Myron Waldman picture.
