Love this cartoon. I love the surreality towards the end. Thanks for posting it.
This short had so much detail in the backgrounds it is awesome work! I seem to remember the same background artist doing lots of the Disney material, am I correct in this? Thanks for the wonderful postings!
I love the narrator with the wise-guy voice. "Don't stand under that light, stupid! Yer on the spot!"
I'm pretty surprised with this cartoon. I actually liked how he was trying to stay away from the piggy bank when the bottom of him is scrambling whilst the top of him stays in one spot.Great animation as always for study.Didn't Edward Plumb do some music for MGM before he left for Disney?
I read on the animation who and where blog that he score the Tom and Jerry short "Missing Mouse". Apparently he freelanced in addition to his work at Disney.
I love that incrediblly creepy title card. The way the music just kind of passes over it, not really acknowledging it, just adds to the effect.
Man that title card is clucked up !!!!!!1
This was a really great cartoon. Thanks for posting it!
A good find. A good example of an effect that is hard to do in strip comics is the skunk transformation. Not sure how I'd render that in a strip. Thanks!scartoonisthttp://scratchinpost.synthasite.com/http://floatinglightbulb.blogspot.com/
