Forget Bugs Bunny and Chuck Jones. Clampett, Avery, Mickey Mouse, Andy Panda, all those famous names and shorts are nothing compared to the greatness I've posted today. I think 80s TV cartoons are where it's at and are under appreciated. I can't wait to sit down and study this cartoon frame by frame.
Despite having a baby coming, you still have time to do an April Fools post. ;)
ReplyDeleteHAHAA!

ReplyDeleteapril fools you too! good one! 80s cartoons TEH best EVUH?!
ReplyDeleteSad thing is, I've seen people praise this stuff (probaly for nostalgiac reasons).
ReplyDeleteOh Kevin you sly dog !
ReplyDeleteThe best thing about it is the music!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSome stuff falls under the "it sucks so bad it's good" category, but this just outright sucks.
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, the studio that animated this episode, Telecom film animation, is the best in Japan. Even animating for crappy shows like this still shows a tiny bit of the studio's talent. The fault obviously lies with the hacks who made the show in the first place.
ReplyDeleteDidn't "Underdog" have a wolf character named Riff Raff? :)
ReplyDeleteI'd forgotten Mel Blanc did Heathcliff (I skipped to the end; the rest was unwatchable).
