Owen Fitzgerald - The Adventures of Bob Hope

This story is from Bob Hope #20. Great art by Fitzgerald, that's all I have to say.

  1. Bob Hope as an actual cartoon character. Unbelievable, and drawn by the incredible Owen Fitzgerald. I must be dreaming. Now if only Bing Crosby himself was also caricatured in these comics. That would make these just about right, IMO. I could have sworn I saw Dorothy Lamour in this too.

Do you know when these were published, by the way? I'm assuming about the early 1950s or so, but I'm not sure. I just wanted to know.

  2. Hi Roberto, the Bob Hope comics started in the early 50s and lasted into the late 60s.

I just noticed this same comic was on Cartoon Snap two years ago. Oh well. I'll have to post another Bob Hope to make up for it.
