Bob McKimson - "Crowing Pains"

This is Bob McKimson's first Sylvester cartoon and also features Foghorn Leghorn. Brutally hilarious stuff.

  1. The Manny Gould scene of Sylvester pulling his head in and out with his tail is hilarious and incredible.

  5. Interesting how this cartoon has 4 lead characters, unusual for the time. What's also interesting is how Sylvester never appeared in another Foghorn Leghorn again, perhaps McKimson thought he was an unnecessary addition? (Although he did incorporate Daffy into one cartoon years later)

  6. Yay. This was a neat cartoon, having three lugheads beat each other up and argue. Did this cartoon come after "Walky Talky Hawky"?

  7. Yes, this was released in 1947 and Walky Talky Hawky was releases in 46.

  8. I think the Dawg is a rather unneccessary addition for this cartoon. Also, Foggy vs Sylvester could have worked more, two great characters are always better than one great vs one mediocre (the Dawg).

This isn't my fav. Foghorn, but it has some hilarious moments. Can you put up a clean version of "Fractured Leghorn"? That was mega-fun.

  9. I'm a huge fan of McKimson but this is the worst design of Sylvester ever.

  10. HUGE UPTATE!!!! in the next LTGCvol.6, this cartoon will appear with its ORIGINAL TITLES!!!! and there's more, in the original titles, there's some new animation in the credits, NEVER BEFORE SEEN!!!!! I'm not shure what it is, some sort of gag or someting.
