Yes, Tex did draw it himself. I posted a Chilly Willy model sheet he drew and some story sketches from "The Legend of Rockabye Point" back in Septmeber.
The way the whole room shakes precisely on each of Joe Bear's steps as he storms out of the room yelling "AND IT BETTER BE PLENTY QUIET 'ROUND HERE!" is one of the things that separates good from great animation.
CLASSIC! "You deef or somethin'!" QUIET!!!!!!! This certainly is a cartoon classic and it's still fresh in my head. Cartoons like this are timeless.

ReplyDeleteA Droopy set is coming out in May. Hopefully they'll be some nice extras on it too.
