Ren and Stimpy Lost Episodes

I'm very excited that tomorrow the Lost Episodes DVD comes out. Stupid me didn't pre-order it figuring I would have to wait past the release date to get it. I keep reading on John K's blog that people already received theirs. I have yet to see the episodes that didn't air on Spike TV and they look great. In a lot of ways I enjoyed the Adult episodes more than the original series. The animation is great throughout, the expressions and acting are just amazing. Here's some model sheets and other random stuff, plus a sketch that came with my Jim Smith sketchbook.

  1. Just when I thought I was the only guy in the universe who hadn't received the Lost Episodes yet ... my order shipped yesterday, and it should be here in a day or so. Huzzah!

  2. I pre-ordered my copy of the DVD, but since I live in Canada, it could take a week to get here. Meh, I think I can wait. I'm very excited to get it... the previews on John's blog were amazing.

You just can't get that kind of animation on television anymore. I'm gonna bug my friends to buy this DVD so (hopefully) we can see more of this great stuff back on the tube again and again and again!

  3. Wow!!!

Those model sheets are gold: I'm gonna study em :) Thanks so much for posting those! :)

I've not got my DVD yet either.

Does Jim Smith sell copies of his sketchbook?

Geez, I'm just so excited about those model sheets :) I'll be reading your blog regularly from now on, haha!

I was really impressed with your drawing lesson drawings, too!

    Take care :)

  5. P.S. I went to HMV today and they were selling the DVD for 32 bucks Canadian (without tax). That being said, I really don't think I'll mind the wait. :P

  6. That's pretty steep, especially since it's a new release. I paid $18 for it in Manhattan which I thought was good considering how expensive everything in the city is. It's definetly worth the wait, I've watched Altruists like 5 times already. It keeps getting funnier.
