Man, what a real treat your blog is. I learn so much info here. I've never heard of this artist until now. I watch Yogi Bear on Boomerang and I love how the backgrounds are real cartoony yet have a semi-abstraction look to them. These grabs are inspiring me.
This was very exciting for me, as a kid I was so excited seeing my last name show up in credits not knowing who this background artist was at all and now being older and an artist myself, I feel very happy to find out this person is my dad's cousin. It helps so much to study his colors and presentation, thank you. I know this might be a long long shot but if anyone knows any contact information for Fernando Montealegre, please it would be so helpful, thanks and thank you for the posts. (manekimaki@gmail.com)
