Here are a few model sheets from the first Pete Hothead short. Released in 1952 and directed former Tom & Jerry animator Pete Burness. Ted Parmelee was the designer but I don't know whether he drew these models.

Hanna Barbera Title Cards
So I’ve decided to start posting on this blog again, at least semi-regularly for now. I’m going to start up again by sharing screenshots of some great title cards from the first season of the Huckleberry Hound show. I love these cards with just silhouettes of the characters. The poses have more energy than probably anything you find in the actual cartoons. “Scooter Looter” and “Pie Pirates” are my personal favorites. I’m not sure who was responsible for these. I’m assuming the layout artist of each short drew them. If someone knows please feel free to comment.

New Funnies References in Lantz Cartoons
Here's a few screen shots of New Funnies references in Woody Woodpecker cartoons. The first is an billboard with Andy Panda and Oswald Rabbit from "Well-Oiled". The next ad that I can remember is from "Wet Blanket Policy". Charlie Chicken made a quick cameo in "The Woody Woodpecker Polka". Homer Pigeon appeared in about 4 cartoons the last being "Spook-A-Nanny".
